A gate takes more abuse than any other part of a fence. It swings every day, gets leaned on, bumped by wheelbarrows and pushed by animals. BarrierBoss hog wire gates are built for that work, with rigid 6-gauge welded mesh set into a solid frame that holds its shape. Choose a 4' wide walk gate for a garden, yard or side path, or a 12' wide double swing gate for a driveway, paddock or equipment access.

Heavy 6-Gauge Wire Mesh That Won't Sag

Light wire gates bow, rack out of square and drag on the ground within a few seasons. The 6-gauge welded mesh in these gates is stiff enough to brace the frame, so the gate keeps swinging clear and latching cleanly. The steel is hot-dipped and heavy galvanized for a thick layer of zinc on every wire and weld, so it stands up to rain, snow and sprinklers year after year.

Choose Your Gate Frame: Cedar, Pressure-Treated or All-Steel

• Western Red Cedar: warm, natural grain with built-in resistance to decay and insects, for gardens, farmhouses and cabins
• Pressure-treated lumber: kiln-dried and rigid, ready to stain or leave natural, and a match for pressure-treated fence panels
• Full metal frame: an all-steel gate with no wood to rot, warp or burn, and the right choice for a non-combustible fence line

Every gate comes in the same three finishes as our hog wire fence panels, so the gate and fence read as one design:

• Black: a matte dip-coated finish for modern yards and open views
• Brown: an earthy dip-coated finish that blends with cedar and planting
• Silver: bare galvanized zinc for a classic farm and ranch look

Gate Hinges, Latches and Posts

Hardware and posts are sold separately, so you can set the gate up the way your opening needs. The Universal Black Gate Hardware Kit includes black dip-coated hinges, a latch and brackets. Hang each gate between two solid posts set in concrete: choose metal fence posts for the strongest hold, or wood fence posts to match a wood-framed fence.
