Description

Complete Metal Privacy Fence Kit — Posts, Panels, Rails & Hardware Included

Everything You Need to Build the Last Fence You'll Ever Own

The BarrierBoss Metal Privacy Fence Kit is a complete all-steel system — steel posts, framed steel panels, top and bottom rails, U-channels and hardware all in one shipment. Pick your size (4×6 up to 8×8), profile (7/8" Corrugated or Deep Groove/Ribbed), and colour (Black, Gray, Brown, or Corten Steel). Backed by a 40-year warranty, shipped factory-direct, and delivered and unloaded on your property by our own crew.

How many posts do I get? Every section includes one steel post, and every order ships one extra end post to close your run — order 1 section and you get 2 posts, order 20 sections and you get 21 posts. Corners and gate openings may need an extra post; tell us your layout in the cart notes and we’ll confirm.

What's Included in the Kit

Each Metal Privacy Fence Kit ships with every component needed to build one fence run between two posts. No cutting, no welding, no sourcing parts from three different suppliers:

1× Steel Post — sized to your panel height (4ft, 5ft, 6ft, 7ft, or 8ft tall), 2.38 mm wall thickness, pre-drilled brackets included
1× Steel-Framed Panel — 2 mm welded frame, 26-gauge galvanized steel assembled panel with HDP paint on both sides
Top & Bottom Rails — match panel width, slot into U-channels
U-Channels — lock the assembled panel securely into the frame so corrugated sheets can't slip or rattle
Carriage Bolts + Hardware — full bolt and nut set for post-to-rail connections
Illustrated Install Guide — step-by-step, no welding required

Total components per kit: 1 steel post (+1 extra end post with every order) + 1 framed panel + 2 rails + 2 U-channels + bolt set — order 20 kits, receive 21 posts. 1 post + 1 framed panel + 2 rails + 2 U-channels + bolt set. For a 50 ft fence run, plan ~7 kits (depending on panel width). For 100 ft, ~13 kits.

Kit Sizes — How Much Fence Each Kit Covers

Available in 10 sizes from 4 ft × 6 ft to 8 ft × 8 ft. Wider panels cover more fence per kit; taller panels give more privacy. The most popular residential choice is 6 ft × 8 ft.

Height × Width	Linear Ft Per Kit	Best For
4 ft × 6 ft	6 ft	Garden, pool border, low boundary
4 ft × 8 ft	8 ft	Front yard, decorative privacy
5 ft × 6 ft / 5 ft × 8 ft	6–8 ft	Side-yard, mid-privacy
6 ft × 8 ft ⭐	8 ft	Most popular — full residential privacy
7 ft × 6 ft / 7 ft × 8 ft	6–8 ft	Tall privacy, light commercial
8 ft × 8 ft	8 ft	Maximum privacy, security perimeter

Quick estimator: 25 ft run = ~4 kits · 50 ft = ~7 kits · 100 ft = ~13 kits · 200 ft = ~26 kits (assuming 8 ft wide panels). Tell us your linear footage in the cart notes and we'll confirm the exact count plus a corner-post add-on if needed.

DIY Install — Difficulty & What You'll Need

Skill level: intermediate DIY. If you've installed a wood fence or planted a tree, you can install this kit. No welding, no special tools, no cutting required.

Tools: post-hole digger or auger rental, 4 ft level, cordless drill, socket wrench, measuring tape
Time: ~1–2 panels per hour after the first post is set. A 50 ft run is a weekend project for two people.
Concrete: recommended but not required — direct-bury works for most soil types; concrete adds long-term stability in soft soil or high-wind zones
Permits: check your municipality for height restrictions; most residential zones allow 6 ft without a permit

Every kit ships with an illustrated install guide.

Metal Privacy Fence Kit Cost

Kit prices range from $449.99 to $799.99 per kit depending on size, panel profile, and finish. Per-linear-foot cost is significantly lower than cut-and-build alternatives — no labour to source materials, no fabrication overhead, factory-direct shipping.

Smallest kit (4 ft × 6 ft, 7/8" Corrugated, Black): $474.99 ≈ $79 per linear foot
Most popular (6 ft × 8 ft, 7/8" Corrugated, Black): $624.99 ≈ $78 per linear foot
Largest kit (8 ft × 8 ft, Deep Groove, Corten Steel): $774.99 ≈ $97 per linear foot

Save on the entire order when you pay by ACH bank transfer. On-property delivery and unloading included by our own crew — no extra unloading charge.

Pro Tip: Angle the panel's weeping holes slightly outward when you set each post — that helps drain rainwater faster so your panels stay dry and hold their finish for decades.

Engineered for Strength, Style, and Longevity

The BarrierBoss Metal Privacy Fence Kit is built for homeowners and property managers who demand strength without compromise. Each prefab steel panel has a thickness of 26 gauge. Every component is hand-welded, galvanized, and sealed for a finish that resists rust, fire, and storm-force winds.

Wondering if this all-metal system can handle coastal or hurricane-prone areas? Yes — hurricane-tested panels thrive in humid, salty, and windy environments. Concerned about maintenance? You'll appreciate that this system requires zero upkeep — no warping, no cracking, no repainting.

Want flexibility? The kit accepts any infill up to 1 inch thick, so you can swap your panels for a custom finish or mixed-material design later without major modifications.

Built for FireSmart® Zones

Non-combustible steel construction makes this kit the right answer for wildfire-prone properties. The system is rated suitable for California Zone 0 and Colorado WRC defensible space — meeting the strictest fire-resistant fencing requirements in North America. If you're in a designated wildfire-urban-interface zone, this is one of the only complete fence kits on the market that meets code.

📐 Custom Sizing

Most projects fit the sizes listed on this page — those are what we build, stock and price online.

We do make custom sizes within our standard range, and we quote them case by case. If your run falls between two listed sizes — say you need 7′ 6″ when we list 7′ and 8′ — we can build it. The cost depends on the dimensions, the profile and how much material the cut leaves behind, so custom sizes are not listed or priced on the site. Send us the measurements and we will tell you what is possible and what it costs.

Custom sizes are final sale. A panel cut to your dimensions cannot be restocked or sold to anyone else, so custom-sized orders cannot be returned or exchanged. Please confirm your measurements before you approve the quote.

These products can all be modified on site. Trimming a panel to close out a run is normal work, and you do not need us to do it for you — ask and we will walk you through how to cut and seal it properly so the finish holds up.

Just know that a cut edge is no longer a factory edge: cutting or drilling exposes unprotected steel and voids the steel & coating warranty on that component. Done the right way and sealed properly it will still last — so ask us before you cut.

🏅 Warranty

ALL-METAL SYSTEM — BarrierBoss Limited Lifetime Warranty on the steel frame, infill and factory finish — coverage matched to premium aluminum fence systems
CORTEN OPTIONS — Bare weathering steel; the natural rust patina is intentional and protective (no coating warranty applies)
FACTORY ASSEMBLY — 5-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty
INSTALLATION — Proper installation is the installer's responsibility: correct concrete mix, post-hole diameter and depth for your soil and frost line, and panels set square, plumb and level. Damage or premature wear from improper installation is not covered
MODIFICATIONS — Cutting, drilling or altering the steel exposes unprotected edges and voids the steel & coating warranty on the modified component.
Zero-maintenance: no wood to stain, seal or replace

❓ FAQ

What is included in a BarrierBoss complete fence kit?
Everything for a finished run in one kit — frames, assembled panels and posts. The metal privacy kit uses 1.58 mm steel channels, 2.38 mm posts and 26-gauge dual-sided panels. You supply only concrete and basic hand tools.

Is the color the same on both sides?
Yes. The HDP paint is applied to both faces of the panel, so the fence looks finished from your side and your neighbor’s. There is no “good side” and “bad side” to agree on with a neighbor the way there is with a wood fence.

How many posts and panels do I need?
A run of N panels needs N+1 posts (one at each end, shared between panels). Enter your fence length and the configurator sizes posts, channels and panels automatically — no guesswork or leftover parts.

How hard is a kit to install — do I need to weld?
No welding. Most DIYers set posts in one day (concrete cures 24–48 h) and hang panels the next. Panels drop into the channel system and fasten with the included hardware.

What warranty comes with a fence kit?
40 years on the steel components against rust and corrosion, plus a 5-year workmanship warranty on framed assemblies. Western Red Cedar frames carry 10 years and pressure-treated lumber is warranted for life.

How is a kit delivered and how long does it take?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal.

Delivery is a flat $99 on any order — any material, any size — and free over $2,500. Orders start at $250.

Delivery takes about 2–6 weeks. We currently deliver to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Your rate and your estimated delivered date are in the estimate box on this page.

↺ Returns

Standard-size items (unused, original condition) — returnable within 30 days, subject to a 25% restocking fee. We pick returns up on our own trucks (scheduled around truck availability), at no return-freight charge to you. Because we handle the transport, you're not liable for any transit damage.
Custom, cut-to-size & made-to-order items — because these are built to your exact spec, they are final sale.
Cancellations — full refund before your order enters production; once in production or scheduled to ship, a 25% restocking fee applies.
Damaged or defective on arrival — fully covered. Every shipment is freight-insured end to end, so anything that arrives damaged is replaced or refunded at no cost — you're never on the hook for transit damage.

6' x 6' / 7/8's Corrugated / Corten Steel

Excellent product. Just as described. Easily adjustable to my specific installation for a fire-wise upgrade. Not for a novice diy-er, imo, but all pieces well manufactured and fit together easily. A piece-by-piece, labeled and illustrated assembly sheet would be a help, but you can figure it out. Love how my installations came out. I added decorative panels. Good customer service, as I had a manufacturing delay and a delivery issue (caused by me). Would buy again.

Hi Lucy,

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for sharing photos of your project! We always love seeing how our customers bring their projects to life, and your installation looks fantastic.
As the Corten steel develops its natural patina over time, we’d love to see updated photos of how it changes! Thanks again for choosing BarrierBoss and for sharing your experience with us.

Different fitting panels.

We found that when overlapping the panels to the upper and lower metal slot supports it was very difficult and too tight to put them in place. Without scratching the heck out of them at to and bottom. Different to slide them out under the top support. The fence looks fantastic though. But had to use a lot of spray paint to mask the scratched surface.
