Privacy Below, an Open Hog Wire Topper Above

A solid fence gives you privacy but can make a yard feel boxed in. These panels split the difference: solid corrugated steel along the bottom blocks the view from the street and the neighbors, and a band of 6-gauge hog wire across the top lets light and air through so the fence feels lower than it is. Every panel comes framed in wood and assembled at our shop, ready to hang between posts.

26-Gauge Corrugated Steel With NoFade Paint on Both Sides

The privacy section is 26-gauge galvanized corrugated steel. The painted colors are finished with NoFade paint and DualCoat protection on both sides, so the fence looks just as good from your neighbor's yard as it does from yours. The hog wire topper is 6-gauge welded steel, hot-dipped and heavy galvanized, then dip-coated, so it holds its shape and stands up to the weather.

Vertical or Horizontal Corrugated Metal

Choose the direction of the corrugation to suit your home. Vertical ribs read as classic and a little rustic, and they shed water cleanly. Horizontal ribs give a long, low, modern line that suits contemporary and mid-century homes. Both are the same price.

Cedar or Pressure-Treated Wood Frames

Western Red Cedar: rich natural grain with built-in resistance to decay and insects
Pressure-treated lumber: pre-finished in a warm honey-brown, sturdy and ready to stain or leave as is

The wood frame warms up the steel, and pairs especially well with black, brown and Corten panels.

Most projects fit the sizes listed on this page — those are what we build, stock and price online.

We do make custom sizes within our standard range, and we quote them case by case. If your run falls between two listed sizes — say you need 7′ 6″ when we list 7′ and 8′ — we can build it. The cost depends on the dimensions, the profile and how much material the cut leaves behind, so custom sizes are not listed or priced on the site. Send us the measurements and we will tell you what is possible and what it costs.

Custom sizes are final sale. A panel cut to your dimensions cannot be restocked or sold to anyone else, so custom-sized orders cannot be returned or exchanged. Please confirm your measurements before you approve the quote.

These products can all be modified on site. Trimming a panel to close out a run is normal work, and you do not need us to do it for you — ask and we will walk you through how to cut and seal it properly so the finish holds up.

Just know that a cut edge is no longer a factory edge: cutting or drilling exposes unprotected steel and voids the steel & coating warranty on that component. Done the right way and sealed properly it will still last — so ask us before you cut.

🏅 Warranty

Steel and wire: 40-year warranty against rust, fade and corrosion on the steel and finish. The corrugated steel is 26-gauge galvanized steel with NoFade paint and DualCoat protection on both sides. The hog wire topper is hot-dipped and heavy galvanized, then finished with a heavy-duty fluidized dip-coat.

Corten panels: Bare weathering steel. The natural rust patina is intentional and protective, so no coating warranty applies.

Treated lumber frame: Kiln-dried, copper-azole pressure-treated lumber with a lifetime limited warranty against structural failure from fungal decay or termite damage, in ground-contact and above-ground retention classes, when installed to applicable building codes. Field cuts must be sealed with two coats of a copper-based end-cut preservative (minimum 1% copper) to keep coverage.

Western Red Cedar frame: Kiln-dried and naturally decay- and insect-resistant, with a 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects and premature structural decay.

Factory assembly: 5-year limited workmanship warranty.

Care: We recommend maintaining exposed wood with a quality oil-based penetrating stain to extend its life and keep the finish looking new.

Installation: Proper installation is the installer's responsibility, including the correct concrete mix, post-hole diameter and depth for your soil and frost line, and panels set square, plumb and level. Damage or premature wear from improper installation is not covered.

Modifications: Cutting, drilling or altering the steel exposes unprotected edges and voids the steel and coating warranty on the modified component.

Natural weathering, checking and minor warping of wood are normal characteristics, not defects.

What is a fence with a hog wire topper?
It's a fence panel with two sections. The lower section is solid corrugated steel that blocks the view at eye level, and the top section is open hog wire that lets light and air through. You get privacy where you need it, and the fence feels lighter and lower than a solid wall of the same height.

Which panel height should I choose?
Panels come in 4', 5', 6', 7' and 8' heights, all 8' wide. Taller panels give more screening from neighbors and the street, while shorter panels suit front yards and garden borders. Many towns limit fence height, especially in front yards, so check your local rules before you order.

Should I choose vertical or horizontal metal?
It comes down to the look you want, since both are the same price. Vertical corrugation has a classic, slightly rustic look. Horizontal corrugation gives a long, low line that suits modern and mid-century homes.

Do the panels arrive assembled?
Yes. The corrugated section, the hog wire topper and the wood frame are assembled at our shop and arrive as one panel, ready to fasten between your posts.

Which frame should I pick?
Pressure-treated lumber is pre-finished in a warm honey-brown, carries a lifetime limited warranty against decay and termites, and is the value choice. Western Red Cedar is chosen for its rich natural grain and carries a 10-year limited warranty. Both can be stained to keep the wood looking fresh.

Is the color on both sides of the panel?
Yes. The corrugated steel is colored on both sides, so the fence looks finished from your neighbor's yard as well as yours.

How is the Corten color different?
Corten is bare weathering steel, not a painted color. It develops a natural rust patina over time that protects the steel underneath, so no coating warranty applies. While the patina forms, rainwater running off the panels can stain concrete or stone below, so plan for gravel or planting at the base.

Are posts and gates included?
No, both are sold separately. For a straight run, you'll need one more post than you have panels, plus a post at each corner and on both sides of every gate. Choose metal fence posts or wood fence posts, and add a matching metal fence gate.

What warranty comes with the panels?
The corrugated steel, hog wire topper and finish carry a 40-year warranty against rust, fade and corrosion, except Corten, which is bare weathering steel. The frame is covered by material: a lifetime limited warranty for pressure-treated lumber and 10 years for Western Red Cedar. Factory assembly has a 5-year limited workmanship warranty.

How are the panels delivered?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property, with no freight terminal and no third-party carrier. These panels ship on Heavy Delivery. Your rate and estimated delivery date show in the estimate box on this page.
