Hog Panel Deck Railing
A hog panel deck railing is welded steel grid set into a railing frame instead of balusters. It is the reason people put it on a deck: the grid nearly disappears from a seated height, so the railing stops being the thing you look at and the view becomes the thing you look at.
Why a Panel Instead of Balusters
Balusters are many small parts, each with a joint that can loosen and a surface that needs finishing. A welded panel is one rigid piece. It does not sag between posts, there is nothing to re-tighten each season, and it presents far less visual mass for the same amount of safety.
Choosing a Deck Railing Panel
Opening size
The grid spacing decides what the railing contains. Tighter openings are the choice where small children or a dog use the deck; wider openings read lighter and cover a run for less.
Framed or bare
A framed panel arrives ready to set between posts. A bare panel is for building into a frame you are making yourself, which is common where the deck already has posts you want to keep.
Height
Match the panel to the railing height your deck needs, rather than trimming a taller one down — a cut edge on coated steel is the one place it is vulnerable.

We ordered three Fort Knox panels for a privacy wall. They were easy to move, easy to build before moving them into place. Once build they look fantastic, very solid and easily installed as they measured exactly 8' wide and 6' tall once built. We used 10' 4"X4" post so we could add a little more height then trimmed the post and added post caps.
We'd like to give a special shout out to the Barrier Boss Customer Service team for being so responsive as I was getting anxious to take delivery and get them installed before my hip replacement. They said delivery would be 6-8 weeks, they delivery in about 6 weeks so I had the post in the ground and ready. Following the video instruction the install was simple, taking about two hours to build and install - amazing. We highly recommend working with BarrierBoss and being patient as the wait time is well worth it. We love this product, it looks amazing, we will be back for more fencing in the future. Thanks BarrierBoss for making the best fencing available in the market today.

I ordered several framed and finished hog wire panels as part of a deer fence project. I thought the cost was very reasonable... Due to tariffs, etc. they took a quite while to come, and I started to get paranoid I'd been scammed by a fake website (it is pretty impressive)! Thanks to CS for sending that video, very reassuring...Once the product was delivered I was completely impressed. Delivery was professional and at a reasonable cost...., The quality is amazing... My fence installer wanted to know-- who made these?!!
