TREATED LUMBER POSTS — Kiln-Dried, Copper-Azole Pressure-Treated; Lifetime Limited Warranty against structural failure from fungal decay or termite damage — ground-contact and above-ground retention classes, when installed per applicable building codes. Field cuts must be sealed with two coats of a copper-based end-cut preservative (min. 1% copper) to maintain coverage
CARE — We recommend maintaining exposed wood with Stain & Seal Experts oil-based penetrating stain (available from BarrierBoss) to extend its life and keep the finish looking new
INSTALLATION — Proper installation is the installer's responsibility: correct concrete mix, post-hole diameter and depth for your soil and frost line, and panels set square, plumb and level. Damage or premature wear from improper installation is not covered
Natural weathering, checking and minor warping of wood are normal characteristics — not defects
Tip: Pair with the BarrierGuard GroundLine Sleeve for sealed ground-line protection

❓ FAQ

What sizes and lengths are available?
4x4 and 6x6 posts, each in 8, 10 and 12 foot lengths. The 4x4 is the standard panel post; 6x6 is used for gate posts, corners and taller runs where the extra stiffness matters.

How many posts do I need?
Our panels are built for 8' on-centre spacing, so a straight run needs one more post than it has panels: five panels needs six posts. Add an extra post at every corner and on both sides of a gate.

Should I choose Pressure Treated or Western Red Cedar?
Pressure Treated is the most popular and lower-cost choice, and the one we recommend for anything set in ground contact. Western Red Cedar is chosen for appearance where the post is visible, and is usually paired with cedar-framed panels.

What warranty do the posts carry?
Pressure Treated posts carry a lifetime warranty. Western Red Cedar carries a 10-year warranty. The terms differ because the two materials weather differently.

Can I order posts with my panels so everything arrives together?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal. In our Standard regions (Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada and Oklahoma) these travel Crane Truck for a flat $149, free over $2,500, made to order in about 6–8 weeks. In our Extended regions delivery is priced by distance and order total, there is no free tier, and Crane Truck is not available, so these ship to Standard regions only. $500 order minimum. Standard-size items (unused, original condition) — returnable within 30 days, subject to a 25% restocking fee. We pick returns up on our own trucks (scheduled around truck availability), at no return-freight charge to you. Because we handle the transport, you're not liable for any transit damage.
Custom, cut-to-size & made-to-order items — because these are built to your exact spec, they are final sale.
Cancellations — full refund before your order enters production; once in production or scheduled to ship, a 25% restocking fee applies.
Damaged or defective on arrival — fully covered. Every shipment is freight-insured end to end, so anything that arrives damaged is replaced or refunded at no cost — you're never on the hook for transit damage.

We bought a couple of panels and posts for a privacy screen to cover our solar electrical components that stuck out like a sore thumb toward the street.

Project turned out great, and Barrier Boss quickly gave us a credit for one post that had a problem. A terrific company!

Mostly nice wood, but one has a split that I’ll hide behind and another has what looks like termite or other insect pathways cut into it.
