Through storms you sing a metallic song,
Rain tapping patterns all day long.
A percussive symphony, nature's beat,
Where precipitate and corrugate meet.

No high maintenance relationship here—
Just steadfast service year after year.
A coat of paint now and then suffices
To maintain your charms at modest prices.

You shelter gardens, secure what's dear,
Standing resolute through every year.
In sun or storm or cloudy day,
Your rippling strength won't fade away.

Like love itself, you age with grace,
Patina marking time and place.
Each weathered mark, each subtle stain,
Tell stories, like a telephone game.

So on this day of hearts and flowers,
We praise your understated powers.
For what's not to love about metal that waves?
A valentine to strength that saves.
