The BarrierBoss Story

From a manufacturing shop in British Columbia to properties across 35+ states.

It Started With a Problem

Bobby didn’t set out to start a fencing company. He was in manufacturing — metal fabrication, roll forming, the kind of work where you learn what good steel looks like and what garbage looks like. When he went to buy fencing for his own property, he found the same thing every homeowner and contractor finds: overpriced panels from overseas, thin gauge, questionable coatings, and a 2-year warranty that might as well not exist.

So he built his own.

From One Fence to a Company

The neighbors saw it. Then the neighbors’ contractors saw it. Then those contractors started asking if they could buy panels. Within a year, what started as a personal project was a business — and the demand hasn’t stopped since.

We set up proper production equipment. Commercial roll formers. Welding stations. A finishing line for galvanization and dip-coating. We hired a crew who takes the same pride in the work that Bobby did on that first fence.

Why Factory Direct

The fencing industry has a middleman problem. Manufacturers sell to distributors. Distributors sell to retailers. Retailers sell to you. By the time a panel reaches your property, three companies have taken a margin and none of them actually built it.

We cut all of that out. You buy from the people who built your fence. That’s why we can offer better steel, better coatings, a 40-year warranty, and still be price-competitive. No middlemen means better product at a fair price.

Why BarrierDirect Delivery

Freight carriers treat fencing like cargo. Because to them, it is. To us, it’s something we spent days building by hand. We weren’t going to let a third-party carrier strap our panels to a flatbed next to someone’s pallet of landscaping stones and hope for the best.

So we bought trucks. We hired drivers. We built our own delivery routes — weekly on the West Coast, bi-weekly through the Mountain states, monthly to the Midwest, and by schedule to the East Coast. Our crew unloads at your property, on your schedule. No forklift. No freight dock. No damage claims.

The Mission

We’re not trying to be the biggest fencing company. We’re trying to be the one that homeowners and contractors actually trust — because we build everything ourselves, we deliver it ourselves, and we stand behind it for 40 years.

That’s the whole idea. Build a better product. Deliver it the right way. Stand behind it longer than anyone else will.
